Clearing Your Environment of clutter -pt1

How many times have  you woke up in the morning thinking you're ready to pursue your goals only to be overwhelmed by how many things we put on our plate, and  spend so much time trying to figure out when to do that we end up having to sacrifice the things we want to do, to do the things we need to do which can make for a very unhappy psyche.

So that brings us to the next phase of this journey

 Clearing Your Environment of Clutter.

It is much easier for us to achieve our goals if we set up our environment in a way that supports these habits. Now you're probably thinking oh god CHANGE but I'm not talking about going out and making drastic changes to your home but the smallest of changes can help us achieve mini victories

So let's use Drink More Water as an example, so the goal is to obviously begin drinking water regularly but what can we change in our environment to make this easier for us?
Wouldn't it be easier to drink water if you had a cold pitcher waiting in the fridge?
Wouldn't you be less likely to forget your water bottle if you left a full one by your bed at night?

these two simple changes [keep water in the fridge & put water bottle beside your bed] can be the difference between you planning to do something and you actually doing something and this works for everything.

Want to do yoga in the morning make sure to leave out your yoga pants and mat the night before so you don't have to look for them in the morning.

When you can visualize doing something we are more open to actually doing it.

So start with a small environment change like the ones above and just see how easier it is to get things done

Crossing it Out Living A more organized life pt3

So before I finish sharing with you my tips on how to get a little bit more organized I want to tell you the last and a probably most important factor of this whole thing.

Crossing It off!

That's right anyone can make lists and plan plans but the real wins come from action actually using your planner daily to see what you need and want to do for the day. Using your notebooks to see what goals you should work on this week or month. And most importantly Crossing these items off your lists! whether you scribble them out check them off or draw a line through it crossing items off your to-do lists will literally motivate you to do more and make you feel good! Every time we check something off it sends endorphins to the brain making us happier and more motivated.

So go out there and start completing those goals and crossing them out!

Planning it out ! Living A more organized life ! - pt2

So know you've got your goals all out in front of you but now you have to make time to actually begin achieving these goals right? that brings me to the next part of Living a more organized life

Plan it Out

You've got a few goals written down and you have to admit you're excited to start achieving your goals, but now we've got to make time to do all of these things correct?

So, my friends, I want to introduce to you-you're a new best friend, your planner!  Having a planner is another thing I swear by I keep a larger one at my desk and a smaller one that I carry around in my purse so I can pencil things in on the go. Keeping a Planner can help you manage your time to achieve your goals

I love my planners and they make planning my week easier and more realistic when looking for a planner there are certain things for so today I want to show you my planner must haves!

  1. Blank Pages ! Having a blank planner literally gives you the freedom to do whatever it is you want creatively and It also gives you the freedom to make mistakes and keep going did you skip a week? its' fine you can literally label it as you go so you don't end up with any dead space haunting you in your planner
  2. Monthly and weekly breakdown! often I have come across planners that lack in one of these departments for your monthly view you want to make sure you have a calendar with space on the side to take notes and write goals. for the weekly view, you want to make sure you have enough space for each day especially if you are usually one with a packed schedule.
  3. Monthly overview pages most small planners do not have this space but larger ones will usually have space with important dates, goals, etc

So as I mentioned Above I use two different planners, I bought both  of mine for about $12.00 at Walmart

My pocket planner is From the Creative you Line by the Horizon Group, Let me just say I love this line I have purchased planner stickers, bookmarks and stamps from this line and they are just beautiful.

This planner is fairly small and has blank pages.

The monthly calendar is blank as well with room for notes on the side.

I love the amount of space they give you on the weekly set up and

My desk planner is by mint green and I absolutely love the colors and the beautiful motivational dividers for every month and the motivational quotes on the weekly pages.

They give you ample space for each day which I love!

Another great thing about my planner that I love is the at glance section that has space for important dates, birthdays, and To Do's

This planner is definitely my favorite the colors are beautiful there's literally motivation on every page and it comes with STICKERS !!!!

Tips For having a functional Planner

- Color-coded: Use colored pens or pencils to organize items in your planner  for example bills will be written in green PAY RENT, Personal goals will be pink, Leave a glass of water by my bed, and productive tasks will be blue Work on Blog for 1 hour
- Use stickers! Stickers will make your planner more you ! and also motivate you a little by adding a little flair to something that would otherwise be very "plain Jane".
- Not sure about a plan ? Write it in pencil that way you can always erase it if things don't work out the way you planned. This also works for adding in things months in advance just in case plans change.

Go grab yourself a planner! And start penciling in those goals you wrote down yesterday!

Writing it Out ! Living A more organized life ! - pt1

So Yesterday I shared with you all How excited  I am to get this year rolling and what I plan to do these next few months if you missed it check it out HERE!

So today I wanted to talk to you about the most important thing I believe in getting yourself motivated

Writing it Out!

When it comes to getting organized this is the number one factor, writing things helps you get all of your ideas out of your head and in a physical space where you can see them and keep them on your mind all the time motivating you more and more.

And no I do not mean scribbling random ideas on sticky notes, yes this gets the thoughts down but does not make them easily accessible or able to keep track of eventually they just get tossed out and forgotten. Think of all the brilliant ideas in your waste bin right now just withering away!

So today I am going to show you how Mochi does it!

I basically use two different methods when it comes to writing things down

- My bullet journal
-And three composition notebooks

My bullet journal is my free space! It's solely for creative purposes its where I go to express myself keep track of my favorite things, books I've read, shows I am watching and things of that nature

My composition notebooks are my productive space, they are labeled in three categories; Business/Blog, Personal lists, and Goals, Wedding planning. each of these notebooks is used for brainstorming, to do lists, Ideas etc and keeps them all respectively in one place. making it easy for me to flip through the pages and find exactly what I am looking for.
Be sure to have your highlighter handy to be able to go over anything super important!

I also keep a stash of sticky notes to stick onto my cork boards and notebooks whenever I have a spur of the moment idea.

Everyone has different methods of organizing their ideas and you have to pick one that works for you, prefer spirals or binders rather than composition notebooks go for it! it 's all about you and how you want to see your ideas organized!

So I'm going to give you a little bit of homework today I want you to do two things
  1. Write down 5 things you want to achieve next week
  2. Write down 5 things you want to achieve this month
They don't have to be crazy big goals but they can be simple like drink water every day or read once a week it's the small victories that motivate us to do the  big things

TIP: don't just write down what you want to achieve but give each task subtasks that will help you achieve it! i.e
1. Drink more water
- Place glass of water by bed at night
- Set a reminder to drink water for morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Keep pitcher of water in the refrigerator

Give it a try  & Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the next step of Living a more organized life!

TIPS AND HACKS FOR SPUR OF THE MOMENT IDEAS!
  1. Keep a mini notebook or notepad in your bag it'll help you remember things you want to add to your notebooks/ binders later and also make sure you don't forget it!
  2.  Need to remember something important? Try taking a sticky note and sticking it to something you look at every morning
  3. Instead of writing in the notes on your phone write in the reminders you tend to look at your reminders more than you look at your notes

I don't know about you guys but I am extremely excited about this year, and quite honestly I am not sure why but I am feeling some good vibes coming from the universe and I am going to keep rolling with them!
A lot of people feel the New Year is a time to start fresh and achieve the goals they didn't achieve the previous year as well as tackling a whole new assortment of goals, opportunities, and experiences.

But with life being the way it is it can be really hard to stay on top of all of the goals and opportunities you wish to pursue. Which is why even though lots of people do not realize it Getting organized is a major factor in achieving what you want to achieve. It much easier to do things if your environment is set up in a way that makes this easier.

I hope you guys will join me on my journey to make this year the best year I've had so far!
the first few steps of this journey will be broken down into three parts.

Getting Interview Ready

We've all been there right ? We get that e-mail or phone call letting us know that a position we applied for is interested in seeing us for an interview and we are psyched ! So you're ready and motivated but then when you arrive there you start prepping yourself and that's when those nervous flutters kick in.

We can't help it even if part of us knows we're going to totally slay this interview a part of us gets a tiny bit nervous. Don't you worry your pretty mind about that I'm here to help with these

4 tips to completely
 SLAY your next interview

  1. Before you go ! The night before your interview visit the employer's site go over that job description again and have a few questions for your employer. It looks great if you have some background of the company and also shows you are genuinely interested in the company. Plus having a few questions prepared will prevent that awkward Silence after he or she asks you if you have any questions.
  2. Plan accordingly ! If you have to travel a bit to your interview make sure to give yourself more time you need for everything   you want to make sure you get there a little bit earlier than you need so make sure you map out the travel route and are confident in which way you have to go.
  3. Love what you're wearing! Sometimes we may be tempted to wear that new dress or pair of shoes to our interview which just make sense new clothes can make you feel confident but they can also make us a little unsure we tend to be more confident when we wear something we absolutely love and that doesn't necessarily mean new. Throw on your favorite sweater or shoes and know that you'll own it !
  4. Crave opportunity not your lunch! We've already  talked about how important eating breakfast on a regular basis is, the same goes for today. Make sure you get a protein rich breakfast before you leave the house and be sure you'll be able to focus on what your interviewer is saying and not where the nearest diner is. Also pack a granola bar or handful of nuts in a baggie in your purse so you can have snack if you get a little snacky while in the waiting area.

Most Important Meal of The Day !

Let's be real , Sometimes breakfast is the last thing on our mind We're often so busy trying to get wherever it is we are going in the morning that we often settle for a cup of coffee and whatever we can grab at the gas station.

Would you believe me if I told you Breakfast is worth you waking up a little bit earlier ?

We all know the nutritional reasons we should eat breakfast  but did you know that eating breakfast can actually affect your mental wellness as well so I'm here today to tell you ...

4 Reasons You should eat breakfast every day!

  1.  Most of us can tell the difference between the days when we eat breakfast and the days we don't, other than the lack of hunger on the days we eat breakfast we tend to be more alert more focused and more motivated. Here's why, on the days we skip breakfast our body is running on an empty fuel tank even though we might not notice it our body definitely does and therefore the only thing it can focus on all morning is finding some source of energy to refuel itself causing you to be unfocused and sluggish all day
  2. Eating breakfast can actually help you stick to your diets or meal plans. Are you trying to cut down on your snacking ? Find yourself craving junk food before lunch ? This is because like I said before your body is looking for Sugar, fuel for the energy bank , You'll be less likely to Grab that donut (or two) out of the conference room if you've had a good breakfast. Plus you can pat yourself on the back for avoiding the extra sugar !
  3. Forming a Habit motivates you ! Having a morning routine has worked wonders on people's mental wellness and helped motivate them to do other things throughout the day. Being able to check off a tiny goal first thing in the morning will send endorphins to your brain making you happier and healthier right off the bat.
  4. Breakfast Time is family time! I understand that during the week it may be hard to get everyone to sit down at the table and share breakfast but on the weekends when everyone is taking it a little slow set up the table and share breakfast. It's a great way to not only make sure everyone has a healthy meal but also an opportunity to talk, laugh, and share how their week has went.

Breakfast Tips

  • Try eating a protein packed breakfast : if you're on the go try eating a banana or apple with a tablespoon of peanut putter. or if you're not in a hurry prepare some eggs how you like with some tomato slices and whole wheat toast
  • Try eating breakfast three days in a row to make it a habit
  • Eating breakfast is way easier if it's setup already before you get up, prepare make a head breakfast sandwiches with eggs and turkey bacon for protein or overnight oats are a delicious breakfast
  • Don't have time to eat a whole breakfast freeze some fresh fruit in freezer baggies for DIY smoothie packs that are ready to go in the morning add CHIA seeds for some extra fiber to start your morning right !

I hope you guys can join me on my journey to a healthier year EATING A HEALTHY breakfast is one of my first steps I hope to achieve Keep reading for some yummy ideas that will inspire us all to eat better !

Sweet Spot Product Review

So ladies we all know that when it comes to feminine Hygiene products there aren't exactly tons of choices to choose from So I feel like it's my duty as women to give you the scoop on which of these products are worth your money!

Today we'll be talking about my new favorite brand of feminine wash

Sweet Spot Labs!

I've purchased the sweet spot in two of the scents Neroli Mandarin & Coconut Lime and I fell in love with both of them!

The thing that caught me with these products originally was, of course, the packaging how could you not love those cute little polka dots! So when I saw These on Google Express I had to grab them, my local Walmart only had the coconut lime so when I saw the selection they had on google express I was very excited to try two of the five fragrances sweet spot labs offers!

One thing about these products is that they are 97% natural and gynecologist recommended meaning not only will you feel great but you can sleep well knowing that your Belle-chose is being cared for the right way!

Best things about these products :

  1. Fragrance: Both products smell absolutely amazing! Both the coconut Lime and Neroli Mandarin Fill your shower with their aroma. Even though the smell is prominent the product is not harsh at all.
  2. The formula I felt this was something worth mentioning, I was fairly surprised when I first used the product. Most of the feminine washes I have used have a similar consistency to your standard shower gel but sweet spot labs' feminine wash has a rich creamy consistency that is almost pearlescent. Just a little bit of this product produces a rich lather. So a little goes a long way
  3. Price: I bought both of these products on Walmart through google express and paid $5.98 for each about $2.00 more than my original summer's eve which isn't too bad considering that it lasted way longer
  4. Packaging: As I said above the packaging is super cute and I love how those bright colors and polka dots brighten up my morning showers! The bottle also is small so it doesn't take up too much space in my shower.
If you like these products be sure to check out my review of the Ogx + Kandee Johnson Products
